Instructions & Requirements for ImPACT Testing
In This Section

The ImPACT exam takes about 25-30 minutes to complete and is non-invasive. The program is setup in a "videogame" format. It tracks neurocognitive information such as memory, reaction time, brain processing speed, and concentration. For example, in one part of the exam, a dozen common words appear one at a time on the screen for about one second each. The person is then later asked what words were displayed. It is a simple exam and most who take it enjoy the challenge of the test.
Results of testing are not available but can be released to your medical provider or neuropsychologist in the event of an injury. We strongly recommend interpretation of results by a neuropsychologist or medical practitioner who is trained as a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC). The baseline test results are raw data and should only be used to compare to another ImPACT test taken by the same individual after an injury.
